Nova secció a la web – New web section
M'he decidit a crear una secció on explicar com he configurat el servidor, amb dos motius:
- Tinc molt mala memòria, i em servirà per refrescar que he fet fins el moment, i tenir-ho per escrit per si ho necessito més endavat.
- Si algu detecta algun error o forat de seguretat, si us plau que me n'informi! :P
De moment hi ha informació bà sica i sobre com montar un FTP, l'aniré ampliant de mica en mica amb temes com xarxes P2P, web, blog, correu... Ah, i ho podeu trobar aquÃ! EDITAT: He canviat el contingut de la web, i ja no ofereixo aquesta informació
I've started a new section about how I've configured my server, for two reasons:
- I have a bad memory, so it should help me to remember how I did it. And I will have it written if I need it on the future.
- If someone detects any error of security hole, please, tell me! :P
Now you can find info about the basic issues and how to set up an FTP server. I will expand it with topics such as P2P networks, web, blog, e-mail... Oh, and you can find it here! EDIT: I've changed the web content, and this information is not provided anymore.
Cub3.net gallery
If you haven't seen it yet, I've added a new section to my home page, a photo gallery. It existed since the beginning of cub3.net, but I haven't posted a public link anywhere. At the moment, it doesn't contain terabytes and photos, just some pictures from Scotland and about Warmachine, but I expect to enlarge it :P
On my crusade to not depend on external services, I will migrate my pictures from Photobucket to Cub3.net.
Cub3.net reloaded
I was fed up of my crappy design, and eventually I fell to the simpleness and easiness of content managers. Don't you know what I am talking about? Have a look at my home page, and you will understand. It is not only a new look, a reorganization and revision of its sections as well.
I opted for CMS Made Simple because the installation was just decompress, create a database for it, answer a few questions, and that was all! Really really simple. And having it on more than one language was not really difficult following this tutorial.

New mail – change your addressbook ;)
At last, I have my own mail server running. So, if you are interested in sending anything to me, instead of using my "old" mail addresses, use this one: sachiel @rr0b@ cub3.net. I expect that you know how to read this, I had to encrypt it a bit to avoid spammers :P.
If you are very interested into getting an email of type *something* @rr0b@ cub3.net, contact me. It could serve me to "test" my server limitations and misconfigurations U_U.
